Easily accessed from both Naples and Bari airports, the town of Calitri in the Campania region offers you the chance to truly relax in an authentic medieval village, relatively untouched by tourism, yet extremely welcoming to any who visit.

 

Renowned for its food, wine and arts, Calitri is one of the biggest hillside villages in the area, with numerous restaurants, bars and shops. With easy access to the major roads and motorways, many other villages and towns can be explored, including the main town in the region, Avellino.

A short walk from the piazza leads you through the old Borgo of Calitri- quiet pedestrian streets that climb up the hillside past grottos, palazzos, homes and businesses.
